Employability from the outset
From the start of their degree to three years after graduation, students benefit from multiple ways to manage career progress. After graduation, many services are available including support via Skype and webinars.
MyCareer
The career portal at Plymouth enables students to manage career appointments, find job vacancies, internships and part-time work. It also provides access to workshops and activities to help broaden skills.
Digital resources
Digital resources provide students with a number of interactive tools that help to build CVs, write covering letters and map professional skills. Graduate advisors share professional experience and expertise.
Careers events
A wide range of employer-led careers and recruitment events helps students interact with employers, along with skills development workshops, entrepreneurship skills, interviews, employer drop-ins and insight panels.
Embedded support
Careers support is integral to academic programmes, with workshops, placements and mentoring. In addition the careers team is part of the core Student Hub in the library, for easy access to advice and coaching.
