The University of Reading is a campus university located close to the centre of Reading, set in the heart of the Thames Valley economic hub. It’s under 25 minutes by train from London Paddington and under an hour from Gatwick and Heathrow airports. This is a region with numerous career opportunities for students. Student life at the University of Reading has a community feel, balancing a strong academic focus with an active social scene. The main Whiteknights campus has 320 acres of beautiful parkland; it offers a friendly atmosphere and many spots to eat, shop, play sports, and socialise. Students can live in one of seven halls of residence on campus, all within 15 minutes of the campus centre and Students’ Union. The SU hosts student-led events, nightlife, and over 150 clubs and societies, including its own nightclub, 3sixty. Enjoy food from the regular international street food events and farmers’ markets, and campus eateries that use fresh, local food – including produce from the uni's own farms.
