The University of Reading is situated in the heart of the Thames Valley economic hub, under 30 minutes by train from London Paddington and under an hour from Gatwick and Heathrow airports. It's a region with numerous career opportunities for students, with locally based international organisations including Microsoft, Oracle, Procter & Gamble and PwC. Reading's main Whiteknights campus is set in 320 acres of stunning parkland and offers a huge variety of places to eat, shop, practise sports and socialise alongside your studies. The university's seven on-campus halls of residence are all within a 15-minute walk of the centre of campus, where you'll find Reading Students' Union – home of student-led events and nightlife, with 150 clubs and societies and nightclub 3sixty. Students also love the regular international street food and farmers' markets, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available; and the main campus eateries take pride in sourcing fresh ingredients from the university's own farms and other local producers.
