Right from the first year of a student's degree, the Careers Service can help them work out what they want to do and how to get there. They will also continue to help students for three years after they graduate.
All options can be explored, including employment, entrepreneurship and further study. There's the chance to connect with big private sector firms, small/medium enterprises and third sector groups, to make contacts.
The Careers Service offer a wide range of workshops and online resources to help with anything from writing the perfect application and preparing for interviews, to deciding what to do as a career.
Specialist advisers show students what employers are looking for and how to market themselves – not just with their skills and subject knowledge, but also their personality and achievements outside the classroom.
